You’ll likely fly into Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha. From there, there are options: charter flights to Serengeti airstrips, or road transfer, depending on your preference & budget. Chui Safaris can arrange either.
Yes, the crater rim is at high elevation (~2,200-2,400 m), which means cooler mornings and evenings; dress in layers. High altitude may affect some; take it easy first day, stay hydrated.
Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) are possible in Serengeti & Ngorongoro. Birdlife is abundant. Migration/river crossings depend on the season. Night and rare species depend on luck & guide expertise.
Yes, many lodges welcome children, but some may have age restrictions. Early morning game drives can be long. We can tailor pace to younger travellers.
Minimal walking is required if you stay in the vehicle for game drives. Some optional walks in more rugged terrain. Mostly moderate. Accommodations have comfort, so you can have a good rest.
